MONTHLY WRAP UP: May

MONTHLY WRAP UP: May

Blog, Book Talk, Monthly Wrap up

And so another month comes to an end, where did the time go?  As of this month we’re adding a new monthly feature to the blog; A monthly wrap up post, where we’ll share our Books read and our book haul for the month.

Anne’s May Book Haul

It started out looking like it was going to be a rather small book haul this month with just a few e-ARCs and the books in my Fairyloot and Illumicrate boxes.  Then I found The Hunger Games trilogy in The Works in the 3 books for £5 deal (I’m ashamed to say I’ve seen the films but have yet to actually read the books! Yikes!) so they got added to my bookcase.  Then towards the end of the month we got a call to say a close family friend was in hospital, unfortunately he’s going to have to go into a nursing home for palliative care so he won’t be returning to his bungalow which means his books were going to need a new home.

So it’s not the best circumstances in which I increased my book haul this month but I was very happy to get the chance to take the books off his hands – sorry charity shops, no way I was passing up the chance to rehome a bunch of Stephen King books! apologies for the super long list this month.

As well as the books listed below there were a few poetry collections.

Terri’s May Book Haul

A reasonable sized haul this month, after being away from reading for a while I thought it best not to go too mad.

I can’t promise that June will be the same, actually I know I can’t as the current book haul for this week is up to around ten oops.

The books are from buying both new at reasonable prices from amazon,  a few from charity (99p a book), a few freebies to review (Nudge books) and finally some from the lovely book boxes received. (Book Box Club, Fairyloot and Illumicrate)

I am happy to say the Illumicrate unboxing/haul post will be up shortly , it was one of my favourites received so far.
